The national mania for an “approved” GroupThink got even crazier this week! Its even reared its ugly head with the Houston Rockets NBA franchise.
Now even overpaid basketball stars getting paid millions of dollars to play a game say it factors into their decisions.
Among the reasons that Rockets star player James Harden wants to be traded? His disapproval of team owner Tilman Fertitta’s political views.
NBA reporter Ric Bucher is quoted as saying in “The Odd Couple” basketball podcast that Fertitta’s support of President Donald Trump has caused division within the team.
Harden is reportedly joined by Russell Westbrook in being nauseated at Tillman’s views.
Bucher said, “I’m hearing that Tilman Fertitta’s strong Republican support and donations is one of the things that is contributing to this dissatisfaction (of the players) and those two [Westbrook and Harden] are not the only ones to want out of Houston.”
“There is a revolt here because they look at Fertitta as a guy who supports the current President,” said Bucher.
Talk of Revolt? ‘Lotta that goin’ around!
