The list found by Mauriceville utility workers along Highway 62 yesterday does NOT appear to be a ‘kill’ list.
Per Detective Joshua Lockett with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, they are in the very preliminary stage of investigating the list, but it appears that it is only a list of names that were tossed aside by a student. There was nothing else written on the piece of paper.
He said that the student who dropped or threw out the note is a very young child. No charges are pending at this time.
LC-M ISD sent out a notice last night alerting parents to the note, but the administration could not comment on the student or what, if any punishment, the student would face. They said the list was NOT found in the vicinity of the school.
