BENTONVILLE. Wal-Mart, the retail giant with over 4700 stores nationwide is pulling guns and ammunition from its retail floor in preparation for continued civil unrest that some analysts suggest will happen after the Nov 3 Election.
“We have seen some isolated civil unrest and as we have done on several occasions over the last few years, we have moved our firearms and ammunition off the sales floor as a precaution for the safety of our associates and customers,” the retail giant’s spokesman Kory Lundberg said in a statement on Thursday.
Gun and Ammunition will still be available for sale, however, customers will have to ask for them now. How long Walmart will keep this off the retail floors of their stores, their spokesman did not specify.
The retail giant had some of its stores looted in Philadelphia recently after the Walter Wallace shooting; it withdrew guns and ammunition from some of its stores after BLM and Antifa riots after the George Floyd killing.
